When will I see results?

Skin feels hydrated and comfortable from the first use. For the look of fine lines, firmness and texture, give it 6–8 weeks of consistent twice-daily use. Everyone's skin is different, so results vary.

Sensitive skin & patch testing

Both formulas include soothing ingredients such as centella and allantoin, but every skin is different. Patch test behind the ear or on the inner forearm for 24 hours, then start once a day. Pregnant or breastfeeding? Check with your doctor first. For external use only.

How do I layer it with other actives?

Retinol: yes, at night. Apply the serum first, then your retinoid, or alternate nights if your skin is sensitive.

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) and strong AHA/BHA acids: use them at a different time of day from copper peptides, e.g. vitamin C in the morning and copper at night.

SPF: always the last step every morning.

Where is it made?

Azure Clinical is Australian-owned. Both products are made in China by a manufacturer certified to ISO 22716 (cosmetic good manufacturing practice) and ship from Melbourne.

Full details & ingredients (INCI)

A rich, breathable barrier cream with 10% Squalane and 1.5% Copper Tripeptide-1, for skin that feels comforted and looks calm, smooth and hydrated by morning.

The Squalane + Copper Barrier Recovery Cream is the final evening step of the Azure Clinical routine. It forms a breathable lipid layer that mimics the skin's natural moisture barrier, locking in hydration and the actives applied beneath it.

What it does

  • Deeply moisturises and helps prevent moisture loss overnight
  • Supports the skin's natural moisture barrier
  • Calms the look of redness and helps skin feel comfortable
  • Leaves skin looking smoother, softer and more supple
  • Seals in your serum without a greasy finish

Key ingredients

  • Squalane, 10%: a lightweight emollient that is similar to lipids found naturally in skin. Softens and helps reduce moisture loss.
  • Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu), 1.5%: the blue copper peptide, conditioning the skin while you sleep.
  • Phytosterols (as Phytosterol/Behenyl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate): lipid-replenishing conditioners that support the barrier.
  • Centella Asiatica Extract: a soothing botanical that helps skin feel calm.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate and Glycerin: humectants that attract and hold water in the skin.
  • Tocopheryl Acetate: a form of vitamin E that conditions and helps protect the formula.

Packaging

An airless pump jar: the cream is dispensed from the top without exposure to air or fingers, which helps protect the copper peptide and keeps the formula fresh to the last pump.

How to use

  1. As the final step of your evening routine, after the Copper Peptide Multi-Active Serum.
  2. Press the pump once and warm the cream between your fingertips.
  3. Massage gently over face and neck using upward strokes.

Can also be used in the morning on dry skin, followed by SPF 30+ sunscreen.

Who it's for

Adults with dry, dehydrated or easily stressed-feeling skin, and anyone who wants a comforting night cream to pair with a copper peptide serum. Patch test first if your skin is sensitive.

What's inside

Every ingredient in this formula, what it does, and how much.

#IngredientWhat it doesWhy this amountAmount
01Aqua (Water)BaseThe base of the cream's light, cushiony emulsion.A lower water level than the serum leaves room for a third of the formula to be lipids and humectants: rich, but not greasy.~67%
02SqualaneHero emollientA lightweight oil that closely mimics the lipids your skin makes. Softens and helps lock in moisture without greasiness.Moisturisers typically use 5–15% squalane. 10% gives a noticeably cushioned, replenishing feel overnight while still absorbing cleanly.10%
03GlycerinHumectantDraws water into skin for lasting hydration. In the 3–10% sweet spot for humectants: strong hydration without tackiness.5.0%
04Butylene GlycolHumectant · solventHydrates and helps the actives spread evenly.A little higher than in the serum to keep the copper peptide evenly dispersed through a thicker cream.4.0%
05Cetearyl AlcoholEmollient · textureA fatty alcohol, not a drying alcohol. Gives the cream its rich body and softens skin.Between 1% and 5% builds a creamy body; 2.5% gives cushion without a waxy drag.2.5%
06Caprylic/Capric TriglycerideEmollientA coconut-derived oil that leaves skin smooth and supple.Adds a light, fast-spreading oil alongside the squalane so the cream glides on.2.0%
07Hydrogenated Palm Kernel OilEmollientAdds cushion and richness to the texture.A small amount of a richer lipid gives the cream its cushioned, overnight feel.2.0%
08DimethiconeSkin protectantCreates a breathable, silky layer that helps reduce moisture loss overnight.Around 1–2% gives a silky finish and a breathable layer over skin, without the slippery feel of higher levels.1.6%
09Steareth-21EmulsifierKeeps the oil and water phases blended into a stable cream.Matched to the size of the oil phase so the cream stays smooth and doesn't separate.1.5%
10Copper Tripeptide-1Hero activeGHK-Cu, the blue copper peptide. Conditions skin while you sleep, and gives the cream its soft powder-blue colour.Half the serum's level, by design. It's worn over the serum at night, so the cream tops up copper peptide while its lipids seal everything in.1.5%
11Phytosteryl/Behenyl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl GlutamateLipid replenisherA plant-sterol emollient that helps replenish the skin's lipid layer.A concentrated lipid-replenishing ingredient. A small amount adds a barrier-supporting feel.0.5%
12PhenoxyethanolPreservativeKeeps the cream safe from microbes once opened.Permitted up to 1%. Used at under half that limit.0.45%
13AllantoinSoothingHelps skin feel calm and comfortable.Within the effective 0.1–0.5% range, a touch higher than the serum for overnight comfort.0.3%
14CarbomerTextureHelps set and stabilise the cream texture.Supports the emulsion so it holds its shape in the pump.0.3%
15TriethanolaminepH balanceAdjusts pH so the texture sets and stays skin-friendly.Measured to neutralise the carbomer exactly.0.27%
16DiglycerinHumectantA moisture-binding relative of glycerin.Adds longer-lasting hydration alongside glycerin.0.18%
17MethylparabenPreservativeWorks with phenoxyethanol to protect the formula.Permitted up to 0.4% on its own. Used well under that.0.15%
18Tocopheryl AcetateAntioxidantVitamin E. Conditions skin and helps protect the oils in the formula.Around 0.1% is enough to help stop the oils oxidising. It's there to keep the formula fresh, not as a headline active.0.11%
19Centella Asiatica ExtractBotanicalCica. Helps skin feel calm and look less red.A low, comfortable level of a standardised extract.0.1%
20Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone CrosspolymerTextureGives the silky, non-greasy finish.A small amount gives the powdery-soft finish.<0.1%
21PolyacrylamideTextureThickens and stabilises the emulsion.Supplied as a ready-made thickener, with the C13-14 isoparaffin and laureth-7 below.<0.1%

Amounts are from our manufacturing formula, listed in descending order exactly as on the carton. Both formulas use methylparaben and phenoxyethanol as preservatives, each well under its permitted limit. No fragrance or colourant is listed: the blue comes from the copper peptide.
